He seems as a not so very likeable chap. Very agressive. Doesn't he understand what being a fan is about? One loves the local football team, but still on likes to bitch and moan about them, so is it also with a fav band.

I saw an interview with Iggy Pop on BBC4 yesterday, and he said that most bands have their peak or prime early in their carreer, thats when classics are made. He admitted that he wasn't able to write as good songs anymore as in his prime. He wasn't a rebel anymore. Melvins is perhaps a proof on the opposite, but I think they're best as a 3 piece, thats my case. Tres C is good f.ex. And I think also BB is better without Melvins.

No matter what the rebellious members of Themelvins.net should mean, it has fuck all to say about record sales. Even the critical mass will buy, so what's the big deal?

New submissions are completely closed as the site won't allow ANYONE who isn't already a member to join. What a load of nonsense. I can see they want to cut out trolls and time wasters but please. |

The Amrep forum became useless when Facebook got popular. If you want to join the forum, you have to contact someone like Kev Bayer, or whatever his screen name is. They just did that not to keep out trolls, but because their webmaster is lazy, and doesn't know how to keep out spammers. Well...they did that after I made a post on the AmRep Bored one stoned evening about the Melvins creating a wall between themselves and their fans using references to the Pink Floyd The Wall concept. And...I called out Haze referring to him as The Mighty Lord of the Underground etc. He didn't seem to see the humor in that. Sorry if you wanted to sign up there. This is why I like you benway. |
